Urban Development Agreements

What are UDAs?

Urban Development Agreements (UDAs) are fixed duration agreements between the federal government, represented by WD, and provincial and municipal governments. UDAs have addressed issues such as community and economic growth, innovation and inner-city revitalization.

What's been accomplished?

The UDA in Winnipeg was signed in 2004 and agreements were signed in Regina, Saskatoon and Vancouver in 2005.

UDA funds are now fully committed and the program will conclude in 2010.

WD will continue to work with all levels of government to create jobs, support small business, invest in innovation and technology commercialization, and strengthen western communities.

Who can I contact for more information?

If you have further questions about the program, you may contact us directly at any of our offices by email, telephone, fax or mail.
